concept>>>>transformation, foldable, generate an instance

a

about the project>>>my starting pointis the action of folding / unfolding. By this action, done repeatetly, I can build a shape (origami principle) and then make it dissapear or appear as a plane on space.

if FOLDABLE

open ----------------close

instance-----------------------end instance

a

Site Specific>>>foldable shapes will be located on streets, since my idea is to build 3 or 4 "stations" to leave them on determined places and see what people's interactions are.

about the shape itself>>>got a couple of ideas:

A- "Kissing Station" : the musical box idea, agumented. to have a foldable object that when it opens, a platform comes out and when 2 people get in, a musical box-like tune will play and the platform will start spinning.

see example here .

B-"Scenes" or spaces for the passer-by to open them and "live-this-moment" - or instance.

the idea is to generate this pop-up space, which I had called "pop-up-architecture", since it propiciates a different space for people to stay for a while.

like a big scale pop-up book (other here) i guess made out of foam, that will be collapsed while the planes are closed.

In both ideas, (a or b) I plan to have sound, this will be text as speech or sound-to de definied- .

Technical Aspects>>>

My idea is to have flex sensors that start sound when the structure opens (in the case of a, when platforms, starts spinning), in the pop-up architecture idea, while the objects there open (pop-up) and/or people touch some parts of this "scene"
